"A side-project by guitar-player/producer Fountainhead, feat. Drummer Lille Gruber (Defeated Sanity) and vocalists Nikolas Voynich (Cerebric Turmoil) and Ole Kupfer (Purpose Effect). It consists of newly arranged songs by the german death metal band "Despotic" and is the world´s first metal-record that´s performed on both fretless bass AND fretless guitars. It´s a must-listen for anyone into the above-mentioned bands and fans of totally inventive metal guitar-playing - it´s also meant to be distributed for free and shared with anyone who might be into it!"

Fretless or not, there's nothing here that hasn't been done before.

Music-wise, I do dig the nod to Despotic.

But the vocals sound strained and soul-less.

Thanks for sharing, but there's not enough here to get my head a'banging (yet?).

In my view every person ought to look at it.

I loved this. I dont know how anyone can say it sounds soulless. Maybe something is lost in translation, but there was TONS of souls in the sung parts, and the gutteral roar of the vocals definitely made my day.
What really attracted me is the whole "Fretless Metal" concept. I would listen to more from this artist if it was available.
