"Back in 2011 Kalin Kolev decided to form a death metal band. He started writing riff material on his own and soon, somewhere around July the same year, Ivan Ivanov, an old friend of Kalin, came into the picture. Kalin asked Ivan if he was willing to play second guitar in a yet nameless death metal band and he confirmed. Both continued writing riffs and observing ideas and had a couple of songs done pretty fast. Kalin wanted to do vocals also and now it was time to look for a bass player and a drummer. Zhivko Stoyanov, also good friend with Kalin, was just getting into bass. It took some time but eventually he got in the band. The tough part was finding an accurate drummer for death metal. After going through several players, the band understood that it will be a hard time finding the correct guy. After observing several name ideas, the band chose CONCRETE for a permanent solution.
On April 18th, 2012 they released their first self-titled EP "Annihilation Of Humans", which was greatly appreciated both by fans and media.
In the summer of 2012 the band was introduced to Ivo Ivanov (Lord Curse), formerly of local thrash metal band Ira Deum. Kalin, Jivko and Ivan decided to take a test rehearsal with Ivo and things came out pretty good right from the start. Since then Ivo Ivanov is a permanent member of CONCRETE.
Many shows followed locally with bands like Enthrallment, Segmented, Vehement, Mass Cremation and others, including opening acts for a couple of foreign colleagues.
Currently, CONCRETE is working and evolving musically, playing shows and constantly working over new OLDSCHOOL DEATH METAL."
